Preschool

Our preschool is the foundation of our children's learning experience. Our preschool program offers an enjoyable learning experience that fosters an enthusiasm for school in its children. We have unique and creative learning centers in each preschool classroom that focus on all styles of learning for enhancement of the small child's learning.

Enrichment experiences include music, art, PE, library, cooking and computer. In addition to learning centers and enrichment classes, our children are taught the basics of letter and number recognition using the A Beka curriculum.

The highlight of our preschool program is our chapel and daily Bible lessons with a focus on developing the preschool mind and character. Field trips and special events on the campus complete the rich experience at University Christian School.

Academically, our K3 program strives to accomplish the following by year end: Recognition of the letters of the alphabet
Recognition of the sound of each letter of the alphabet
Recognition of the numbers 1 - 10
Recognition of their name

Academically, our K4 program strives to accomplish the following by year end:

Recognition of long and short vowels and consonants
Reading of short sentences
Recognition of and the ability to count 1 to 100
Recognition of the 1's family

In our K4 programs, we offer one classroom choice:
Full day (7:40am - 2:00pm) five days a week (this includes a nap time)

In our K3 programs, we offer one classroom choice:
Full day (7:40am - 2:00pm) five days a week (this includes a nap time)
